Honey quality testing and certification

Balaji is a honey supplier with quality testing documentation buyers can file: facility certifications, lot tests, and traceability programmes. Each answers a different question, and none replaces the others.

Technicians working in the in-house quality laboratory

Two layers, then documents

Facility certifications vs lot tests

The in-house laboratory at Sonipat supports the process. Extra screens, including NMR, are attached when the purchase order asks for them — not on every batch by default.

Facility certifications

Marks such as FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, SQF, and Halal describe how the Sonipat plant is run. They support vendor qualification. They do not replace the tests on your lot.

Lot testing

Moisture, sugars, and any extra screen named in the contract travel with the batch. Optional tests — including NMR — are attached only when the purchase order asks for them.

Traceability programs

Programs such as True Source answer where the honey moved, not only what a lab measured. Ask for the certificate that covers the shipment period.

Lot parameters

What buyers name on the contract

Parameters below are those Balaji already discusses in buyer-facing quality copy. The purchase order names which of them travel with your shipment. Optional screens are not implied for every lot.

  • Moisture

A core specification limit for industrial and retail buyers. Named on the lot summary when the contract requires it.

  • Sugars

Routine sugar analysis used beside moisture to describe the lot. Exact methods follow the laboratory that issues the report.

  • Colour / sample band

Colour is often locked from an approved sample rather than a single year-round reading, especially for multiflora and wildflower.

  • HMF and other buyer limits

Limits such as HMF belong in your written specification. Balaji works to the panel named in the purchase order; this page does not invent a fixed full panel for every shipment.

  • Residues / contaminants

Contaminant or residue screens are arranged when your market or customer protocol requires them. Name the requirement in the enquiry.

  • NMR screening

Nuclear magnetic resonance adulteration screening is available when ordered with the lot. It is optional — not performed on every batch by default.

How to request documents

COA, traceability, and NMR

Use the quote form and list the documents you need with the shipment. Sales confirms what can travel with that lot.

  1. Certificate of analysis

Ask for a COA or lot test summary in the enquiry. Name the honey, quantity, and which parameters must appear. The laboratory that issued the report is the laboratory named on that document.

  2. Traceability documents

For True Source or similar programs, say so up front. Sales matches the shipment to the current credential rather than assuming a website mark covers every period.

  3. NMR testing

Request NMR with the quotation when your protocol needs an adulteration screen. Screening is planned with the lot before shipment — not added after the container has sailed.
